At last
« on: January 05, 2017, 11:28:04 AM »
Something to show!  This was months of work, finished it, washed it and found a nasty mark on the fabric left by the wooden embroidery hoop.  So, I had to fussy cut it and backstitch it onto a complementary fabric and make it into a cushion instead.  Thankfully my mum loves it and now wants matching cushion covers for the rest of her furniture.  Of course  ::) ;D

Wow, I can't imagine what panic you felt when you found the mark.
It's beautiful. A true art piece. :)

I don't use hoops when doing my black work as it's a real pita to iron out... I use a Q-snap frame they are so much better. Xx

I have tried with the Q frame but found it too heavy for my arthritis - I tend to take my stitching out in the car with me (school run fun) so it's not workable.  I tried it with the enormous piece I'm currently working on (yay, just a few weeks to finish!) but really struggled.  Shame, my friend finds it great.
