Well, nobody's posted anything on these boards for ages, so I better post a few bits!

Some decal work, magnetic mini tiles (Fridge magnets!)

And this was a project I got involved in - a friend's brother is an architect who was working on the restoration and refurbishment of a building, and put a call out for someone to help restore some stained glass windows.

Although the originals look like they're silver stain, I didn't think I had the painting skills, and I have never used silver stain, so I suggested decals.

It was a steep learning curve, as there were issues with colour, fading in the light because it is clear glass and an external window, and more - and in future, I'd probably do things differently.  However, it has inspired some ideas for me to try other things along this theme.

This is the original broken window, and two of the three replacements I made.  And I cut those glass circles myself!

And here's one if the originals (I had to work from a photograph) and the new and old in-situ

It's lovely to see this board get a bit of an airing, the fridge magnets are very cool, the Pares' one expecially, I love the smell of that soap.
Your restoration project is so cool, looks like you have done a great job with it Dawn. Was the client pleased?

Yes, the architect said he thought they were great - no idea about his client, but I guess so!

I personally would like them to have been stronger, but it was a great learning experience

Me too, Jill, in fact I was looking at silver stains the other day, I'd love to learn a few traditional glass techniques such as silver stain and some proper engraving methods.  The list gets longer!
