Clay and ceramics July / August
« on: July 24, 2014, 11:34:19 AM »
Here's a lamp base and coasters that I've made for my bedroom.
I had to use the Japanese technique of kintsugi on the lamp base but I think I'm in love with it.
There's more information and photo's on my blog over the next 3 days, if you are interested.

Will you do some pebble coasters that look like actual pebbles? Because there are people on this forum who are obsessed with pebbles.  ;) (fingers crossed that I can afford the price)

Yes kintsugi is fixing broken ceramics with gold, from my research its a cold mend. I did it my own way using low fire pastes used to create raised designs and texture and designed for onglaze work. And i used platinum lustre too. I think that post goes out on my blog on Saturday
