Not sure I ever showed this in here - apologies if I did, I have the brain of a flea at the moment. Ladder stitch and right angle weave and an art deco glass button

The ends of those micro-cubes are dodgy and sharp so this is definitely not one I'll ever be able to sell. What a shame (NOT)  :P

And today I finished this - Morocco Collar - I'm writing up the destructions for an online mag, stay tuned  ;)

I love the top one - micro cubes something to avoid then?  :-\  Shame, they look fantastic.  Loving the collar, it's so pretty and delicate looking.

Thanks both  :-* Sue, the micro-cubes have the same issues as bugles and swaros, i.e. sharp edges that can cut thread (and even fireline) if the thread contacts the edge of the bead hole at an angle. So they're fine if you protect the holes with a seed bead each side, but in this pattern I just ladder-stitched them - with ordinary nylon thread - and then found that the right angle weave only just fitted (you can see it's spread the cubes apart) so I wouldn't trust the whole thing not to fall apart when worn. Especially since it's a bracelet so the wear and tear and movement will be high anyway. Falling apart is OK if it's me who's wearing it, not OK if it's a customer!
