enamelled copper wire
« on: March 27, 2013, 10:40:16 AM »
I'm having a faff with wire to make a bezel for my enamelled copper donuts. I've wound a coil with a bigger loop in the middle and threaded the donut on before winding the coil for the other side of the bezel.
I think some of them would look nice with a coloured wire and wondered if the enamelled copper wire would work. I'm concerned as I'm thinking the enamel should break when you bend this wire and wondered if any of you had tried it and what you thought of it.
It's from wires.co.uk

I've used it too - but I would definitely soften your pliers before using it as you can damage the outer layer, I dip mine in hot candle wax.
