Bead Weaving and Embroidery Gallery January 2013
« on: December 30, 2012, 02:22:43 PM »
Well, promising might be pushing it this is what happened......

I had a go at Lynn's fabulous pattern her Marie Antoinette collar, I fudged it on a couple of bits (but I aint pointing them out  ;) ) I added all the embellishments and took them all off, I think I didn't use the right colours for embellishments or used enough variety on the dangles so it became too dainty for any more...does that make sense?  Anyway, just means I have to have another go  ;D

I also learnt that I don't like catches other than beaded toggle ones, but, this one goes nicely, perhaps I ought to try lobster clasps?  Ummmm decisions decisions....

Laney, I love it all stripped down like that, you've done a super job with the beadwork and sometimes less is definitely more... it's a classy sparkly piece and I bet it looks gorgeous on  ;)

Finished my pink collar today - hmm, this pattern look familiar to anyone?  ;D

It's a bit more minimal than my usual totally encrusted version but once I'd put the beaded flowers on I didn't want anything else distracting from them... was I right? Or should I go back and fill in all the gaps with accent beads and bits of ribbon?

Ok another beaded doll from me, this time a mog and I was watching Avatar when I did him, hence the long legs and tail  ::)  I do like beaded dolls, my way, get bead, get going, stop when done  ;D
