That's amazing.  Did you watch James May Man Lab (on iplayer  ;) ) he makes...quote 'bog roll' (toilet paper in my obviously posh house! ) from scratch...and I mean scratch, cutting down the old willow tree and everything.  I tried paper making one summer and loved doing it, I still have some sheets somewhere, but mine was very rudimentary.  Good fun though, would love a press like yours...I used encyclopedias from the 60's  ;D

Yeah saw that. I bet it was scratchy to    :o

Now we just need a bookbinding tut from Lynne  ;D

I keep on getting the paper out of the press and spreading it around to dry but I have to keep popping it back in the press as it starts to curl up. It does look lovely though.


As it dries and ages it will loose some of that lovely golden colour unfortunately. The details of the veins in the leaves will remain though.
